Springfield Renewables is a company owned by FuturEnergy Ireland and ART Generation.
FuturEnergy Ireland is a joint venture company owned on a 50:50 basis by Coillte and ESB that launched in November 2021. By combining the assets and expertise of these two leading commercial semi-state companies, FuturEnergy Ireland is strongly positioned to tackle climate change and improve energy security on behalf of the people of Ireland. Our ambition is to develop 1GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
ART Generation is an Irish renewable development company founded in 2002. The company has developed a substantial portfolio in excess of 20 onshore wind farms in Ireland and operates a number of wind farms.
It has a large portfolio of Tier 1 onshore and offshore wind farm projects at various stages of development.

The wind farm site is located near Mullinavat in Co. Kilkenny.

Timeline
Castlebanny Wind Farm has received a positive planning grant from An Bord Pleanála. The project will now engage with EirGrid to apply for access to the national grid system.
